There’s no shortage of Palm Beach holiday events. If you’re interested in celebrating the holiday season by learning some history, you should consider doing the Old Northwood Historic District Home Tour. Find out what the tour is all about.
About the Historic District Home Tour
On December 15th, the Old Northwood Historic District Home Tour will kick-off. The event has been taking place for more than 30 years, showcasing some of the most interesting historical buildings in West Palm Beach. The tour takes you through the area bounded by North Dixie Highway and Broadway as well as 26th and 35th Streets. In the neighborhood, there are 320 historic buildings. The area is so rich in history that it was one of the first districts to be included in the National Register of Historic Places.
This year, the tour will take place between 5pm and 9pm. You can buy general admission tickets for $35, but there is an option for VIP tickets. With a VIP ticket, you get access to a party in the clubhouse that includes a local beer tasting. You also get to go to the front of the line for your home tours.
Regardless of the type of ticket you buy, you can stop at a food truck for a delicious meal or shop at a craft vendor doe some last minute Christmas gifts.
